University of Waterloo Welcome Brochure

Overview

During my co-op term, I was entrusted with the development of two comprehensive welcome brochures for the GBDA (Global Business and Digital Arts) and MDEI (Master of Digital Experience Innovation) programs at the University of Waterloo's Stratford School of Interaction Design and Business. The objective was to consolidate essential information into a single, accessible guide for incoming students. These brochures, designed to be distributed via email to prospective students, were crafted using Adobe InDesign to ensure ease of future updates and modifications.

This project was primarily a solo endeavor, with weekly consultations with the project manager to verify the accuracy and relevance of the content. In addition to the brochures, I contributed to the university's outreach efforts by conducting interviews and producing videos. These multimedia elements, which I am excited to present here, offer a deeper insight into the university experience.

I successfully completed the brochure design project alongside many others, earning a stellar testimonial from the client that highlights my contributions

"Mohammed, you were lovely to work with. You integrated into the team very quickly and were able to participate in meetings and team building events with ease. You have a fantastic ability to build connections and network. You are strategically minded and great at thinking outside of the box. You took on every challenge in stride, even those that were asked without lead time or put you in the spotlight with a large group of people. I really appreciate you spending your term with us and producing beautiful and impactful work that will be utilized for years to come."
